Rooms are not big enough to hold a double bed, so this is strictly a “no go”.

If a resident requires a special bed/mattress for medical reasons, this will be considered on application to WSA management. The resident must be able to provide evidence that may be substantiated outlining the reasons for this requirement. A letter from your health care provider is sufficient but may be subject to check. In addition, the resident will be required to pay a storage fee for the furniture provided by WSA, and there will be a charge for the removal and replacement of the WSA furniture.

No fangs, fur, feathers, or scales please! Pets are strictly not allowed, although goldfish may be considered.

If your family is visiting and brings the family pet, WSA management requests that your pet be kept outside of the buildings and suitably restrained as a matter of health and safety.

*All due consideration will be given to registered service animals on the provision of all required paperwork and medical recommendations, however, WSA cannot guarantee that permission will be granted for either companion or service animals.

For more detailed information regarding what is and is not allowed to be kept in rooms, please see the WSA Guidelines for Residents, and please read your accommodation contract carefully.

NO. Cooking is not permitted in any resident’s room(s) at any time, this includes rice cookers, air fryers, electric kettles and electric pans. The Commercial Kitchen in Building A is where all cooking is to be done. See Resident Guidelines 3.6 for more information. You will be fined for cooking in your room and if the breach continues your contract will be terminated.

There is a laundry on the ground floor of each of the three buildings. Each laundry contains coin operated washers and dryers, and shelves for folding clothes. Each building has an attached outdoor drying yard with ample drying lines. Residents must supply their own laundry detergent and clothes pegs. Coins are available for exchange at WSA Reception.

WSA is a gated community. The property is as safe as the residents living at WSA make it. There are three entry gates – two at the eastern end of Building A and one at the western end of Building A. A key card is required to obtain entry. Additionally, the property is fully fenced along its boundaries. Residents are strongly encouraged to ensure that all gates close securely when entering or leaving the premises. Under no circumstances are gates to be propped open.

Each building has keyed entry doors. Building B has two entry points. Building C has two main entry points and three emergency egress exit doors at the eastern end. Building A has two main entry points for residents, two entry/exit points to the BBQ area, and four emergency egress doors – three at the eastern end of the building, and one off the laundry leading out to the loading dock area.

There is also an entry/exit door from the loading dock into the commercial kitchen. This is keyed separately and for use by catering providers and delivery or service vehicle drivers only.

Windows in building A are fitted with security screens, and in Buildings B and C, there are limiters on sliding windows, and screens fitted to each window.

Residents key cards allow them entry to all gates and entry exit doors within the WSA compound, as well as their assigned room only. Residents are responsible for and strongly encouraged to be vigilant in taking care of their key card. In the event of a key card being lost or damaged, residents are encouraged to report this to WSA staff ASAP. A nominal charge applies for replacing a residents key card.

The carpark areas are not gated however they are well lit and monitored by CCTV.

There are security patrols each evening at 10pm and 2am.
